Question
Is there a way to re-submit the entry to E-Verify once the incorrect information has been corrected (i.e. Driver's License number)?
Answer
The client will be unable to re-submit to E-verify until the current case is closed. The client can go to the TNC E-Verify case and close it under the explanation "Bad/Incorrect Data." After it's closed, the button to re-submit to E-Verify with the correct data should appear.
Please note: You cannot correct a case if the case gets submitted with the Case Resolution status of "The Employee Continues to Work For the Employer After Choosing Not To Contest A Tentative Non Confirmation" as shown in the following screenshot:
This will trigger attention from E-Verify's compliance officers. E-Verify offers employers several options to explain why they are closing out a case without following through with the TNC process. Employers should never close out a case using "The Employee Continues to Work For the Employer After Choosing Not To Contest A TNC" because this tells the government that the employer is ignoring the TNC process and will just employ the individual anyway (akin to "telling on yourself").
The correct case closure reason is "data was submitting incorrectly" and whenever this is done, the Form I-9 will show a "Resubmit E-Verify" button so that the user can submit a correct case.
