Section 1 of the employment eligibility verification can be available for your candidates completing their onboarding package.
Electronic Signature Validation
Electronic signature is required when your candidate properly completes all required fields of the I-9.
Candidate Section 1 completion
As the candidate is completing their process flow they will be subject to an i9 section 1 step and form.
They will likely be required to re-enter their information, to ensure details are crossed referenced appropriately by the candidate, so the correct information is submitted
The candidate is then presented with the standard i9 related fields
The fields around citizenship and preparer/translator assistance have conditionally based logic in them, displaying additional fields based on selection
Section 1 is then e-signed by the candidate.

Edit section 2 after completion

Edit section 2 after completion
- Via the Edit button, when completing section 2
Sometimes when a candidate completes section 1, they may input the wrong information, which there is a need to change it, prior to section 2 completion.
When in the Employment Verification screen, you can look to the upper right corner of the screen, for an edit link.
This link will allow for any value to be changed, directly in the admin portal.

- Via email to candidate
Sometimes when a candidate completes section 1, they may input the wrong information, which there is a need to change it, prior to section 2 completion.
When in the Employment Verification screen, you can scroll to the lower right corner of the page and select the S1 Edit Invite button
A window will then appear, allowing you to input the candidates email and recipients email, and specific data that needs to be edited.
The candidate will then receive an email with their first name, last name, and Login ID to complete the edit to the specified field. All other fields will be unable to be edited.
The Recipient will then receive an email indicating the candidate has made the necessary edit, to finish section 2 completion.
