Types of Filters
Columns have a full range of filters. Please see the outline of the specific filtering options available to a column in the report's overivew page.
Users can apply filters by enabling them in the Filter Menu in the Action Menu or in the Filter Menu in the Tools Menu. In general, columns will have one of the following filter types.
Text using Contains - This filter type allows users to enter specific search criteria for a filter. The filter will return all rows that contain the search criteria regardless of case. For example, if a user filters on the name column and enters "Alex" the filter will return users with the names, "Alex," "Alexander," and "alexandria."
Pick list with text to filter list - This filter type allows users to check and uncheck values they wish to see. For long lists, such as the Assigned to column in the Forms Report, users can use the search box to narrow down the selection.
Date - The Date filter has multiple options available for users:
- Equals - Returns all dates that match the date entered.
- Greater than - Returns all dates that are greater than the date entered.
- Less than - Returns all dates that are less than the date entered.
- Not equal - Returns all dates that do not match the date entered. This includes blanks.
- In range - Accepts two dates and returns all dates within the range of those dates, including the specified dates.
- Blank - Returns all rows with blanks.
- Not blank - Returns all row that are not blank.
Please note that due to a limitation in Safari, the date filter only accepts dates in yyyy-mm-dd format. All functionality remains the same.
Please note that unless a column's filters have been cleared, the filtering will remain in place, even if that column has been hidden. This could impact the data set you see in the Click Boarding UI as well as the data set you export.
