A location is where you want your employees to be associated within Click Boarding or where they will eventually be hired at. It can be a physical space like a store location or street address, but that doesn't always have to be the case. For example, sometimes business units may be built as a location in Click Boarding.
To navigate to the Locations page:
- Select the Company menu item (building icon in left menu)
- Select Locations (you will land on the Locations page by default when selecting the building icon)
Locations are used to control visibility in Click Boarding.
Employee Process Flow Assignment
The first step in assigning a process flow is to select the location. The employee can then be assigned any process flow associated with that location (which is configured during process flow creation). The location will also determine which Team Members can be assigned in Coordinator, Hiring Manager, or Recruiter roles. Finally, the address associated to the location will be used as the work address if the employee needs to complete withholding forms via our Tax Wizard.
Employee Visibility for Team Members
Locations control which employees a Team Member can view. A Team Member can only view employees who have had a process flow assigned with a location that the Team Member has access to. For example, if a Team Member called John Smith only had access to the Atlanta location, he could not see employees in the Philadelphia location. A Team Member can have access to one-to-many locations.
