Click Boarding will need to collect the following information from the client so we connect securely to their server:
1. SSH Key (public key file)
- Click Boarding needs and uses an SSH Key (public key file) to authenticate the connection to the SFTP server. Click Boarding does a thumbprint check using this public key to make sure we have the correct server.
- RSA 2048 length
- Note - Click Boarding SFTP is over SSH, not FTPS which is over SSL.
2. SFTP Server Address
- The address to the SFTP server (Example: sftp.example.com)
3. Folder Path
- Is there a folder on the SFTP server you would like us to drop the exports? If not, we will place the export on the root/base folder.
4. SFTP Username / Password (THIS INFORMATION TO BE SHARED OVER PHONE OR ENCRYPTED EMAIL ONLY)
- Click Boarding will need a username and password to log into the SFTP server. Ideally the user is a Click Boarding specific username / password (not a User that other people use, for security).
- Password needs to adhere to strong password requirements via a password generator, minimum of 10 characters, upper/lower case, and special characters.
5. Port
- This must be port 22.
6. Desired polling schedule, if any
7. Export configuration
- This includes how many files and the format for each file.
