Sometimes the wrong data is entered in forms. That is a fact of life. Thankfully, resetting forms so that accurate data can be entered is as simple as clicking Reset.
What to expect when a form is reset
- The candidate or team member will be able to log into Click Boarding and complete the form.
- The original data remains until the form is resubmitted.
- If the status of the candidate's process flow was complete, the status will change to the appropriate status, such as Needs Attention.
- Resetting a form within a step that has Process Actions configured will cause the Process Actions that are kicked-off on step "completed" to re-trigger. This includes things like, SFTP Export, Process Automation, and web hooks.
- Resetting a form will not trigger overdue notifications defined at the process level.
- A form that has been reset, but not resubmitted, will show in the Forms Report with a status of Recertified.
- Form resets cannot be undone.
What forms can be reset
Currently form reset is available for all forms except:
- Form I-9 and E-Verify. Due to guidance surrounding Form I-9 and E-Verify, please note that we will not be allowing Form I-9 or E-Verify to be reset.
Who can reset a form
- The reset feature is limited to team members with Full access and requires access to the candidate's location.
To reset a form in the Admin UI
- Navigate to the Candidate List [Home] -> [Candidate List]
- Select the Process Flow of the candidate you wish to reset the form for
- Please note that if the candidate has multiple process flows assigned, you want to be extra careful that you are in the correct process flow
- Select the Step that the form belongs to
- Select Reset next to the form that you wish to reset
- Select Yes to reset
To reset a form via API
Forms can be reset via API using the FormReset-PUT
endpoint. For more information, please visit the Click Boarding Developer Portal.
Form Reset Edge Cases
- Resetting the E-Signature form will not update the E-Signature on any completed forms that the E-Signature was applied to. If the signature needs to be updated, any forms the signature has been applied to should be reset.
- Resetting a state or federal tax form will reset ALL tax forms in that step associated with the candidate (both state and federal).
- For example, if a candidate has a Federal W-4 and a Georgia G-4, resetting either the Federal W-4 OR Georgia G-4 will reset BOTH forms.
- If the user needs to update personal information, such as address, the Tax Information AND all US Tax Withholding Guides must be reset.
- When the candidate logs into Click Boarding to complete a reset tax form they will start at the Federal W-4 and have state tax forms applied upon completion of their Federal W-4.
- If a form has a creation form (done by HR) and an acceptance form (done by the candidate), if the creation form has been reset, the acceptance form should also be reset. This includes forms like Offer Letters and State Pay Rate forms.
