Click Boarding is excited to announce the launch of two exciting new features in our Admin Portal; the ability to create test candidates and experience the Candidate Portal platform from their perspective through the Impersonation feature. 

These new features will make testing updates simpler and pave the way for a seamless transition to our upcoming refreshed Candidate User Interface which is scheduled for testing in late February 2024. 

Creating a Test Candidate in the Admin Portal

1. Navigate to the Candidates List and Click "Add Candidate"

2. Be sure to check the "Test Candidate" box before creating your Candidate.

Note- The test flag cannot be added after a Candidate is created.

 

Creating a Test Candidate via API

Using the Candidates-POST API call, the isTest property can be added to reflect if the Candidate should be created as a test Candidate. 
The flag can only be added during Candidate creation. 

Searching for Test Candidates

 Navigate to the Candidate List page and select "Show Test Employees"

Once selected your list view will update to only display Test Candidates.

If the record is for a test employee, the Candidates-GET and Candidates/{id}-GET response will include the isTest property. 

Impersonating a Test Candidate

What is Impersonating a Test Candidate?

Impersonating a Test Candidate provides HR users the ability to experience the UI (User Interface) from the candidate's perspective. 

You will have the ability to adopt the identity of the candidate within the system, and explore and interact with the platform as if you were the candidate. This feature will allow you to gain insights into the user experience and understand how the system looks and functions from the candidate's point of view. 

To Impersonate a Test Candidate you would:

1. Select the Test Candidate you wish to Impersonate from the Candidate List view and click "Impersonate"

The Candidate Portal window will appear, allowing you to enter into Impersonation mode; providing a real- time view of the Candidate Portal.
