Problem: There is a delay in E-Verify results, and candidates are showing "Verification in Process" status.
Resolution: E-Verify has some cases (such as these) that take longer to process than usual. They have advised to wait 72 hours for the cases to update. If nothing changes after 72 hours, Click Boarding needs to contact Form I-9 Compliance to determine next steps.
Due to COVID, these are taking far longer than usual. Unfortunately, some verification's are taking multiple weeks to process. You cannot close out a case until E-Verify updates it with a final case result. You need to wait it out and close the case once the final result comes in (and if its Employment Authorized, the case will auto-close).
It is important to note that the employee must be allowed to continue working in the meantime.
