Our I-9 partner has introduced the ability for a Candidate to designate and send a 'Remote Section 2 Invitation' from within the platform. This Authorized Representative would be granted secure access to complete Section 2 of the I-9 on the Employer's behalf with the Candidate physically present to inspect their identification document(s).
If you are interested adding this functionality to your Client, please send an email to support@clickboarding.com
Please click on the video below to watch a step by step tutorial of the Remote Section 2 invitation process, from the candidate's point of view:
Below is a step by step walk-through of the process:
- At the Employment Eligibility step, the candidate fills out the Section 1 form as normal:
- The candidate chooses whether or not they are a US citizen and whether or not a Preparer and/or Translator was used. Then they click Next
- At the review screen, the candidate clicks I Agree for the E-signature, then click Next
- The candidate is then presented with the Section 2 Invitation form shown below. The candidate will complete the form with information who they choose as their Authorized Representative and then they click on Send Invitation.
- Below is an example of the invitation email that is sent to the Authorized Representative the completed the prior form. Click on the Form I-9 login link within the email and login using the included credentials. Note that the email link is only valid for 48 hours from the time the email is received.
- Using the credentials from the email, enter the information in the fields at the login screen, then click Log In
- Once logged in, the Authorized Representative will have access to the candidate's Section 2 form. Once the form is complete, they will click Save.
- A confirmation screen will show that the remote Form I-9 is complete
- Below is the updated candidate status within the portal, showing that section 2 is completed with a pending E-verify case (if applicable).
