Microsoft Teams activity feed notifications are updates or alerts in Microsoft Teams that keep users informed about activity relevant to them. These notifications are displayed in the "Activity" tab, accessible through the bell icon in the Teams app. The feed is designed to centralize notifications to ensure users stay updated on what requires their attention without needing to manually check multiple locations. When the notification is selected, the user is taken to the Click Boarding Employee application, helping to increase timely completion of process flows.
Click Boarding offers two types of activity feed notifications for employees:
- Process Flow Assigned - This notification informs the employee that they have a new process flow to complete. The notification triggers automatically when the employee is assigned a process flow. There is no Admin configuration needed for this notification.
- Process Flow Overdue - This notification informs the employee that their process flow is overdue and they need to take action. This notification is based on the overdue email notification configured at the Process flow level (Click Boarding Admin -> Processes & Content -> Processes -> [Specific Process Flow] -> Edit -> Events -> Send an Email -> When process is... -> Overdue). Please note that if this email notification type has not been configured for the process flow, the employee will not receive this type of activity feed notification.
For activity feed notifications to send to an employee they must:
- Download the Click Boarding Employee application
- Sign into the Click Boarding Employee application
- Enable notifications for the Click Boarding Employee application in their Teams settings
When the application is downloaded, activity notifications are enabled by default. Users can adjust their notification preferences for Click Boarding Employee in Teams by going to Settings -> Notifications and activity -> Scroll to the Apps section -> Click Boarding.
Because the application follows a specific Microsoft approval process, the notifications are designed to remain consistent and are not customizable.
