Click Boarding is excited to announce the launch of two exciting new features in our Admin Portal; the ability to create test Employees and experience the Employee Portal platform from their perspective through the Impersonation feature. 

Creating a Test Employee in the Admin Portal

1. Navigate to the Employee List and Click "Create Employee"

2. Be sure to check the "Test Employee" box before creating your Employee.

Note- The test flag cannot be added after an Employee is created.

 

Creating a Test Employee via API

Using the Candidates-POST API call, the isTest property can be added to reflect if the Employee should be created as a test Employee. 
The flag can only be added during Employee creation. 

Searching for Test Employees

 Navigate to the Employee List page and filter to True on the Is Test column.
 

Once selected your list view will update to only display test Employees.

If the record is for a test employee, the Candidates-GET and Candidates/{id}-GET response will include the isTest property. 

Impersonating a Test Employee

Impersonating a test Employee provides Admin users the ability to experience the Employee Portal user interface (UI) from the employee's perspective. 

You will have the ability to adopt the identity of the employee within the system and explore and interact with the platform as if you were the employee. This feature will allow you to gain insights into the user experience and understand how the system looks and functions from the employee's point of view. 

To Impersonate a test employee:

1. Select the test Employee you wish to Impersonate from the Employee List view and click "Impersonate"

The Employee Portal window will appear, allowing you to enter into Impersonation mode; providing a real- time view of the Employee Portal.
