US Tax Withholdings
The following tax parameters have been updated and are available as part of the Symmetry SPF 2022-R6 release.
District of Columbia
Form D-4A temporary address question optional
Form Name: Certificate of Nonresidence in the District of Columbia
SPF Form ID: DC102
When completing Form D-4A, entering "Temporary DC address (number and street)" is now optional per communication from the District of Columbia Office of Tax and Revenue.
Hawaii
Form HW-4 non-resident adjusted gross income ratio no longer requires leading zero
Form Name: Employee's Withholding Allowance and Status Certificate
SPF Form ID: HI101
When completing Form HW-4, the non-resident adjusted gross income ratio field will now accept a decimal value without a leading zero. For example, if an employee wanted to enter 50%, SPF would previously only accept "0.5" and would return an error if ".5" was entered. SPF will no longer return an error if an employee enters a decimal value without a leading zero.
Oregon
Metro/MultCo OPT form parameters updated
Form Name: Employee's Withholding Allowance and Status Certificate
SPF Form ID: OR102 and OR102SP
The Metro/MultCo OPT form previously only had a single result identifying the user's selection to opt-in or opt-out. However, this form allows users to opt-in or opt-out of two distinct taxes.
Opt-In:
The OR.optIn parameter has been replaced with the following two parameters:
- OR.optInShs : The user has opted in to Metro SHS personal income tax withholding
- OR.optInPfa : The user has opted in to Multnomah County PFA personal income tax withholding
Opt-Out:
The employerInterventionReason tax parameter value of has been removed and replaced with
OPT_OUT_PFA , OPT_OUT_SHS , and OPT_OUT_BOTH .
