Functionality Corrections and Updates

- ID101
- IL101
- IN101
- MI120

Delaware
Duplicate notes in DE-W4 nonresident worksheet corrected.
Previously, when completing the nonresident worksheet, users could see duplicate notes.
This has been corrected so that notes are not repeated.
Iowa
Allowance inputs and validation updated
Previously, employees could enter any dollar amount in Line 1 (personal allowances) and Line 2 (allowances for dependents) of Form IA W-4 (SPF Form ID IA101).
The instructions indicate that Line 1 should only accept the following values: $40, $60, $80, $100, $120, or $160. The Line 2 instructions indicate that only values in increments of $40 should be accepted.
This has been corrected so that each line has a dropdown from which the user can select the applicable amount.
Minnesota
Form MWR date validation corrected
On the Minnesota Reciprocity Exemption/Affidavit of Residency Form MWR (SPF Form ID MN102), question #3 requires the date that the user started living at their permanent residence and the date they ended living at their permanent residence.
These dates must be in a specific format. Previously, when if a user entered either date in an incorrect format, and then re-entered them in the correct format, they were not able to click "Next" and continue with the form.
This has been corrected so that if the user corrects the date format after entering it incorrectly, they can proceed to the next question on the form.
Montana
Added a new question for reduced/additional withholding
Effective 01/01/2024, the MT W-4 (SPF Form ID MT101) has a field to request reduced withholding and a field to request additional withholding. Previously, employees could complete both of these fields.
An additional question has been added to the wizard that provides three choices to the user, eliminating the possibility of completing both fields.
Puerto Rico
Updated additional withholding question verbiage
Previously, the additional withholding survey question on Form 499 R-4.1 (SPF Form ID PR101) and Form 499 R-4 (SPF Form ID PR101SP) indicated that a whole dollar amount should be entered, while still allowing a decimal value.
It has been determined that decimal values are acceptable on this form, so the wording "(Enter whole dollar amount)" has been removed.
Utah
Corrected exemptFromStateWithholding when state is exempt but federal is not
Previously, when a user indicated they are not exempt from federal income tax on the federal Form W-4, then indicated they are exempt from Utah state income tax as a military spouse on the Utah Form W-4, the exemptFromStateWithholding tax parameter returned a value of false.
This has been corrected so that exemptFromStateWithholding will return a value of true in this scenario.
Wisconsin
Decimal value issue on WT-4A worksheet corrected
When completing form WT-4A (SPF Form ID WI102), the user can enter decimal values, and the calculations work based on those decimal values. Previously, those values were rounded to whole dollar amounts on the worksheet, which didn't match the user's entered values and totals on the form itself.
This has been corrected and the decimal values are now reflected on the worksheet.
