Form G-4 updated
Georgia’s withholding certificate received a second update in 2024 following the signing of HB 1021 by the Governor that increased the value of a state allowance. Effective 1 January 2024, the following changes have been made to Form G-4:
- The revision date was updated from 12/27/2023 to 04/19/2024
- Step H in the worksheet for calculating additional allowances value has been updated from $3,000 to $4,000. This value is used in the calculation to determine the final dollar amount.

Form MW 507 county of residence options updated
We've removed "Maryland County" as a question option from the county of residence question set (question set 2). It has been confirmed that "Maryland County" does not exist and nonresidents should select the Maryland County where they are employed from that dropdown. Previously Maryland County appeared in the dropdown.
Form MW 507 version updated
Effective 1 January 2024, the following change has been made to Form MW 507:
- The standard deduction minimum allowance increased from $1,700 to $1,800 and the maximum increased from $2,550 to $2,700 in step C of the personal exemption worksheet on page 2.

Michigan
Local residency questions added
We've added a new residency question (QS1) to all Michigan local forms that sets the resident tax parameter. Previously, residency status was determined solely by the resident address input. This additional question allows employees residing outside the limits to declare themselves as nonresidents.
Montana
Form MW-4 income survey updated
We've added a new option to the Montana income survey question (QS13) to indicate the spouse and employee are filing jointly but only have one job: "None of the above - My spouse and I earn significantly different incomes and I have one job."
If an employee selects this option, the application will skip the multiple jobs worksheet and advance to the withholding survey. The filing status and two jobs parameters in the postback will indicate the following:
- MT.filingStatus = M
- MT.twoJobs = false
Notes added to forms AZ101 and MT101
To provide additional context about whether an employee is exempt, notes have been added to the following forms on the exempt questions:
- Arizona Form A-4 (SPF Form ID AZ101) - QS1
- Montana Form MW-4 (SPF Form ID MT101 - QS2
Utah
Parameter added to Utah Form W-4
Form W-4 (UT101) will now return the military spouse exemption information as a tax parameter UT.militarySpouse, rather than only outputting that info in transaction logs.
Functionality Updates
Enhancement to multiple form submissions
An enhancement has been made to allow users to skip forms that have been previously completed. If a user completes and submits a form and then goes back, they will not be required to complete it again but will have the option to "Start Over" with the submitted form or "Continue" to the next form.
Result user interface improved
We've made several improvements to the look and feel of the form submission page:
- Added a print button
- Added a back button and removed the hyperlinked text
- Adjusted the location of the print icon
Federal guided flow question updated
We've updated the response options to the first question (QS1) within the federal flow to better define a nonresident alien. We've also added an additional note for guidance.
New York guided mode module updated
We've corrected the New York resident flow exemption question to reflect the appropriate years. This only impacts the UI. There were no changes to NY forms.
